Wisconsin Lottery Results-Ticker for Your Web Page

Since you haven't selected a state, we have randomly selected to show, as an example, the data for Wisconsin, which is certainly different from other states since each state has unique lottery games. If you want a specific state, then select the state below and click on 'Proceed'.

A horizontal scrolling element containing the latest Wisconsin lottery results, also known as a ticker or a marquee, can be included at some narrow horizontal space of your WI-related web page using a couple of simple HTML tags. It is constructed by using the MARQUEE tag, and a series of JavaSript codes generate the contents and control the behaviour. You can customize the ticker to give it a unique appearance and format in order to make it distinct and different from other web sites that use this same service. A few examples are given further below, you can even make your own changes and preview it right here.

The following is a crude form of the ticker:

Features

  • This service works only if your visitors browser is allowed to run JavaScript. In fact, this may not be a major drawback since it depends solely on the visitor's choice.
  • You cannot place more than one state ticker on a web page.
  • The scrolling pauses when the mouse pointer is over it, and resumes scrolling when the mouse pointer is away from it.
  • Two buttons are provided on the right side of the scroller. Clicking on the first reverses the scrolling direction, and clicking on the second, changes the speed of scrolling. We have provided three speeds. Note that this option is available on IE browsers only. In fact, our script detects your user's browser and places these buttons only if detects IE.
  • The lottery results will be trailed by one non-obstrusive, non-offesive, and legal text ad. Since this ad and the link are generated JavaScript, they are invisible to search engines, which means that they are not considered as outgoing links. For that matter neither are all the content and links within the scroller.

How to include it into your web site

Put the following HTML codes at a position of your web page where you want the ticker to appear to run the default settings shown above.

<script type="text/javascript" src="http://loref.com/Tickers/WI_Customer.php"></script> <div style="position:relative;">
<table border="1" cellpadding="2" cellspacing="0" bgcolor="#CCCCCC">
<tr><td>
<a class="aDiv" href="http://us-lotteries.com/Wisconsin/" target="_blank">
<marquee width=450 bgcolor="#FFFFFF" style="border:1px solid #000000;" id="myDiv" scrollDelay="100" scrollAmount="2" onmouseover="this.stop()" onmouseout="this.start()"> </marquee>
</a></td>
<td id="revDir"></td><td id="spd"></td>
</tr>
</table>
</div>

Customization

  • The POSITION:RELATIVE of the entire DIV tag can be changed to POSITION:ABSOLUTE and then specify the absolute position of the ticker.
  • The TABLE attributes are all cutomizable. You can even add a STYLE attribute to it and specify some features.
  • The MARQUEE tag must link to us-lotteries.com web site as shown. Do not remove this link!
  • The WIDTH and BGCOLOR, plus the STYLE properties of the MARQUEE tag are the main items that give uniqueness to your ticker. Change them, test them and finally use the one that suites you.
  • Note that you cannot change the colors and sizes of the scrolling content.
  • The control buttons can also be modified by adding TD attributes and/or with a STYLE.
  • The SCROLLDELAY and the SCROLLAMOUNT properties are used only by Firefox browsers. IE browsers use speeds that we have preset using JavaScript. Unfortunately, Firefox does not respond to JS speeds.

IMPORTANT!! Just as there is no such thing as FREE lunch, we are providing this service for two simple reasons : a link and an ad. That is why the entire MARQUEE is linked to our web site. If you remove the 'a' tag, or use a 'nofollow' attribute, you'll be depriving us of the link, therefore, instead of the lottery results another message that promotes our site will be displayed. See example 4 below.

You may wonder why place a link on the entire MARQUEE while there are already several links inside the scroller? The answer is simple:- since the scroller is generated by JavaScript, the links inside the scroller are not visible to search engines. So, it is as if there is no link at all. By the way, we are not concerned about your web site's page rank; be it a PR0 or PR10 page as long as it conforms to our terms of use. We believe that PR is a weapon of destroying the original good content and intentions of the internet. Remember the not-so-commericialized internet in the early 90's?

Some examples:

Example 1 - This is a bare ticker with no border or backgroung colors specified. Even the direction and speed control buttons are removed, but the width is narrowed to 300px

Example 2 - Here we have made the table border=2, a marquee with 'groove' border of 5px and color #cccc99. The marquee background is #ffffcc and width is 600px. This may not be the best looking format, but it illustrates the ideas.

Example 3 - Here we have added a STYLE attribute to the TABLE to specify only top and bottom red borders. The buttons are also modified to make them look like real buttons by adding BGCOLOR and STYLE attributes.

Example 4 - Still some more modifications, but the purpose of this example is to illustrate absolute positioning, and also to show you what happens if the link to us-lotteries.com is omitted.

Test your design

Below, we have provided you with still another example. But, in this case you can make your own modifications and see the results by clicking on the 'View Scroller' button. (Please see the scroller before you make any changes, you may like it!)

Register

If you choose to place a ticker on your web site, we highly recommend that you register by supplying your contacct name, email, and web site url. We will use your information only to notify you of any changes in the service such as change of service source path.
